To the left are a series of documents that explain how to use the various pages and features within EthOS. You can refer to these documents if you are unsure how certain functionality works.
In Diary or Ethnographic Studies, participants typically use the EthOS smartphone app. However, they can also access Diary projects through a mobile browser or on a laptop or desktop by visiting: https://participants.ethosapp.com/login. The application allows for a variety of interactive tasks, including audio recording, photography, video recording, screen capture, and written responses. Additionally, participants will have the ability to respond to single-choice, multiple-choice, and scale-based questions.
The platform is best viewed using Google Chrome, and our apps support iOS 15 / Android 7 and above. The back end is for all communication with participants in a project (probing and sending follow-up questions). If you want to see the participant experience, you will need two emails in the project (One as a Moderator and One as a Participant). Typically companies use their work email address for the back end and a free email such as Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc., to view the participant experience. The apps can be downloaded via these links:

Project Storage Policy
Projects are retained on our servers for 90 days after closure, unless you have an active subscription.
- With an active subscription: Your projects remain stored indefinitely until you choose to delete them.
- Deletion options: You can delete projects manually at any time, or contact us to request deletion. If you submit a deletion request, the project will be permanently removed approximately 90 days after submission. If you need it deleted sooner, please reach out to support.
