Project Settings

Project Settings can be accessed through the Admin dropdown within the top navigation.

The project settings page contains the information you entered while setting up the project. In this area, you can revise your original inputs at any time (project name, background image, instructions, and settings).

At the bottom of the page are some additional settings that were not available when you created the project.  You can enter this page to turn these settings on.

Track who downloads data: This setting provides added data security. If checked, both the project owner and the relevant participant will be notified each time data is downloaded from EthOS.  This could be a participant’s audio file, picture entry, video entry, etc.  When checked, managers will be asked to fill out a form before they download the file, and the information entered into the form will be sent to the project owner (person who created the project) and the participant.

Below is an example of the email the project owner and participant receive after submitting a download request.

Sentiment Analysis: If checked, Sentiment Analysis will run across your project for all entries.  If you update a transcription, sentiment analysis will rerun based on the new transcription for each entry in your project. If you already have entries that Sentiment Analysis has run on, they will continue to show the sentiment analysis even if you uncheck this box. If you do not want to run sentiment analysis on your project, you will need to uncheck this box before you start accepting entries from your participants.

Tone Analysis: If checked, Tone Analysis will run across your project for all entries.  If you update a transcription, tone analysis will rerun based on the new transcription for each entry in your project. If you already have entries that Tone Analysis has run on, they will continue to show the tone analysis even if you uncheck this box. If you do not want to run tone analysis on your project, you will need to uncheck this box before you start accepting entries from your participants.

Auto coded: Auto Codes help you code entries on the Moderator Codes Page.  If a participant mentions a code in an entry description, tag, video/audio transcription, or open ended task it will get marked Auto Coded.  If the box is unchecked, the Auto Coded column on the Moderator’s code page will be removed in real time. Auto codes are just a suggestion for the researcher. Auto codes will not automatically code the entry, that must be done manually.

Automated Transcription: As participants upload audio and video files, our system will automatically transcribe the audio into text. If you already have entries that our transcription service has run on, they will continue to show the transcription even if you uncheck this box. If you do not want to run transcriptions on your project, you will need to uncheck this box before you start accepting entries from your participants.

Project Language: The selected language will be used for transcribing audio and video entries. The language selected should be the language participants will be submitting entries in.
